Format and Scope of the Examination
From 2005, the Examination consists of two parts:
- PART ONE Multiple Choice Questionnaire with 100 questions
- PART TWO Clinical and Oral
Part One
100 Multiple Choice Questions, some with images, taken from:
- Anatomy, physiology and embryology
- Pathology, microbiology, genetics and immunology
- Clinical history, examination and operative technique
- Clinical data interpretation
- Radiological investigations
- General Paediatric surgery and oncology
- Neonatal surgery
- Genitor urinary surgery and trauma
- Critical care
- Statistics, research, audit and ethics
Part Two
Consists of 4 sessions:
- Clinical
- General Paediatric
- Surgery Neonatal
- Surgery Genito Urinary Surgery
